Nonprofit Check Plus is an API by Pactman for verifying the IRS compliance status of nonprofit organizations. It checks data against federal regulatory sources including the IRS Business Master File (BMF), Publication 78, and the Automatic Revocation of Exemption (AROE) list, and supports checking either individual organizations or multiple nonprofits at once. Authentication uses a Bearer token.

The API is intended for developers building grant-making, fundraising, or compliance-verification workflows who need to confirm a nonprofit's legal and tax-exempt status and retain verification records for audit purposes. It is limited to U.S. organizations.

Pricing includes a Basic plan at $0/month (up to 200 checks/month, rate limited, docs-only support, no credit card required), a Premier plan at $99/month (up to 3,000 checks/month, access to over 40 nonprofit fields, unlimited rate, email support), and a Custom plan starting at $166/month with customizable check volume, the same field access, and email and phone support. Annual billing offers a discount of 20% or more. Premier and Custom plans include a 14-day free trial.
