About Postman Echo

Postman Echo is a testing service that provides HTTP endpoints for exercising REST clients and making sample API calls. It exposes endpoints covering the standard HTTP request methods (GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE) as well as endpoints for inspecting request and response headers. Each endpoint echoes back information from the incoming request, such as headers, query parameters, request body content, and the full requested URI.

The service supports multiple request body formats, including raw text, URL-encoded form data, and multipart form data, allowing users to test how different content types are transmitted and received. It also includes dedicated endpoints for viewing request headers sent by a client and for configuring custom response headers via URL parameters.

It is intended for developers who need a live target for testing API clients, debugging HTTP requests, or learning how different HTTP verbs, headers, and body formats behave, without needing to stand up their own backend.
