The Moov API makes it simple for platforms to send, receive, and store money.
Moov is a platform that enables developers to integrate money movement functionality into their applications, allowing platforms to send, receive, and store money. The API is based on REST principles, returns JSON responses, and uses standard HTTP response codes, with a base URL of api.moov.io. Access requires an authorization token, and API version can be specified via a request header.
The API covers account management (including capabilities, representatives, underwriting, and billing), payment sources (bank accounts, cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, wallets, and payment methods), and money movement (transfers, sweeps, refunds, disputes, and card issuing). It also provides account tools such as invoices, payment links, receipts, scheduling, an image library, a product catalog, and support tickets, as well as an enrichment feature that autofills form fields using publicly available information based on an email address.
Moov offers backend SDKs for several languages (.NET, Go, Java, PHP, Python, Ruby) and client-side SDKs for web, iOS, and Android, along with Moov.js for secure client-side data collection. It also provides Moov Drops, pre-built drop-in UI components for onboarding and other complicated flows, hosted onboarding forms, resolution links for verification issues, and a Postman collection with example API calls. Linking cards directly to a Moov account via the API requires providing an attestation of PCI compliance.
Moov provides SDKs for .NET, Go, Java, PHP, Python, Ruby, Android, iOS, and TypeScript.
Requests use Bearer token authorization, with an x-moov-version header to specify the API version.
The base URL is https://api.moov.io.
