About keycdn IP Location Finder

KeyCDN's IP Location Finder is a web-based tool that looks up geolocation data for a given IP address or hostname. Results include city, region, postal code, country, continent, coordinates, and local time, along with network details such as the IP address, hostname, provider (ISP), and ASN. The tool supports both IPv4 and IPv6 lookups and uses GeoLite data from MaxMind.

The tool also exposes a REST API returning JSON-encoded geolocation data, rate-limited to 3 requests per second. API use requires setting a User-Agent header identifying the calling website and a link back to the tool from the requesting project; requests missing these are blocked.

This tool is aimed at developers and network administrators who need to identify the geographic origin or network provider of an IP address or hostname, either through the web interface or programmatically via the API.
