About Gcore Storage

Gcore Object Storage stores media files, logs, backups, and AI/ML datasets, serving data through the S3 API or SFTP protocol. Data is organized into buckets with configurable access control and lifecycle management. Three storage types are available: S3 Fast, optimized for AI/ML workloads, IoT telemetry, and latency-sensitive applications; S3 Standard, a general-purpose option for backups and content delivery; and SFTP, file-based storage priced the same as S3 Standard.

Buckets support direct HTTP access via URL and work with standard S3 clients, with contents managed through the Gcore Customer Portal, AWS CLI, or S3cmd. Access control operates at two levels: ACLs set per-object public or private visibility, and bucket policies define rules by operation, IP address, or principal, both configured via AWS CLI or S3cmd. Storage owners can generate presigned URLs valid for up to 7 days for private file downloads, and lifecycle policies can automatically delete objects after a configured number of days to reduce storage costs for temporary data.

The storage can serve as an origin for Gcore CDN resources, enabling cached content delivery to end users, and files are also accessible directly via a URL using the storage hostname and bucket path.
