AutoChangelog is a tool that automatically generates changelogs from a project's pull requests, commits, and code changes. It integrates with GitHub via an installable app and a webhook added to a CI/CD pipeline; when a deployment is triggered, it pulls recent merged pull requests and commits and uses AI to write a plain-language summary of what changed. It requires only read access to repositories, supports both public and private repos, and currently works with GitHub only, with BitBucket and GitLab support planned.

Generated changelogs can be published automatically or held in a review mode for manual editing and approval before going live, and manual entries can be added outside of deployments for announcements or hotfixes. Changelogs are presented on branded, customizable pages with a choice of five templates, dark mode, and support for a custom domain via CNAME on paid plans.
