APIs.guru is a repository of API definitions in OpenAPI format, described as a "Wikipedia for Web APIs." It provides a directory of API specifications from multiple providers, released under a CC0 1.0 license.

The service exposes a REST API for accessing this directory: endpoints to list all providers, list APIs for a given provider, list service names for a provider, retrieve specific versions of an API (with or without a service name), list all APIs with links to their OpenAPI definitions, and retrieve basic metrics about the directory (such as number of APIs, endpoints, specs, and issues). Responses are returned as JSON. Where multiple versions of an API exist, a preferred version is explicitly marked, and basic info from each OpenAPI definition is cached in the listing so simple views can be generated without fetching each definition individually.

A downloadable OpenAPI specification for the APIs.guru API itself is available, along with a linked GitHub repository and a demo client. Updates to the directory can be tracked via a Slack channel.
