Apiip provides an IP-to-geolocation API that identifies website visitors by IP address, returning data such as city, region, country, latitude/longitude, time zone, currency, ISP/ASN details, and connection information. The API also includes proxy, Tor exit node, hosting, and bogon detection for security and fraud-prevention use cases. Client libraries are available for NPM, Python, and PHP.

The service is aimed at developers and businesses building websites, applications, or back-office systems that need to automate IP validation and geolocation lookups. Common use cases include content personalization, language redirection based on location, currency detection, and time zone lookup, as well as comparing visitor location against billing address to detect fraud.

Infrastructure is distributed across servers worldwide to route requests to the nearest node, and data is transmitted over 256-bit SSL/HTTPS encryption. The service offers a free plan to get started, with paid plans scaling from 1,000 requests per month up to a million requests, plus a discounted annual plan and customer support.
