About Racing Alpha

Racing Alpha provides a free API and MCP server delivering derived signals for UK and Irish horse racing, including AI-generated scores, de-overrounded fair prices, value-vs-consensus percentages, draw-bias aggregates, and trainer x jockey strike-rate statistics. It does not serve raw racecards, official ratings, or bookmaker odds boards, focusing instead on model-derived analysis covering roughly 20-40 races daily across UK and Irish flat and jumps meetings. Predictions are database-frozen at the time of publication and made verifiable through a public tips ledger endpoint showing level-stakes profit/loss and closing-line value.

The API is accessible without a key at 50 requests per day per IP, or 1,000 requests per day with a free API key obtained by email. It offers standard JSON endpoints alongside a Model Context Protocol server (Streamable HTTP) with five typed tools for AI agents, compatible with Claude Code, claude.ai custom connectors, Cursor, and other MCP clients; it is also listed on the official MCP Registry and on Glama, with a stdio bridge available on GitHub.

The service is intended for developers, researchers, and builders creating apps, models, or agent tools on top of the signals. Free-tier use requires attribution ("Signals by Racing Alpha") linked back to the site, prohibits use by betting operators or sportsbooks, and disallows reselling the signals as a data feed. Content built on the API must carry 18+ and BeGambleAware messaging for UK audiences. Higher-limit and commercial tiers are described as forthcoming, with the free tier remaining available.
