Pokémon Information.
PokéAPI is a RESTful API providing structured data covering the Pokémon main game series, including Pokémon, abilities, moves, types, items, and berry flavors. It also offers a GraphQL interface alongside the REST endpoints. The API is free, open-source, and publicly accessible without requiring registration or setup, and it reports serving over 50 billion calls per month.
The service is aimed at developers building applications, tools, or games that need reliable Pokémon reference data, such as stats, sprites, abilities, moves, and version-specific game information. Responses are returned as JSON and cover individual entries (for example a specific Pokémon) as well as list endpoints with pagination support.
The project was created by Paul Hallett along with other PokeAPI contributors. Pokémon and Pokémon character names are noted as trademarks of Nintendo.
