About Monster Hunter World

This is a REST API providing structured data for Monster Hunter World, covering game elements such as ailments, armor, armor sets, charms, decorations, events, items, locations, monsters, motion values, skills, and weapons. Each endpoint supports retrieving either a full collection or a specific entry by ID, with optional query parameters for projecting specific fields and searching/filtering results. Responses are returned as JSON objects with detailed nested fields, such as armor defense stats, resistances, crafting materials, and ailment recovery and protection methods.

The API supports localization, allowing responses to be returned in French, German, simplified Chinese, or traditional Chinese by prefixing routes with a language tag; English is the default and requires no prefix. Not all languages have complete localized data, and some string fields may return null where translations are missing.

The project is in maintenance mode and is not receiving further updates, though the developer has stated there are no plans to discontinue it; a separate API for Monster Hunter Wilds has since launched. The documentation is aimed at developers building applications or tools that need structured Monster Hunter World game data, and the project accepts community contributions for data entry and localization via GitHub and Discord.
