About IP2Location

IP2Location is a REST API providing reverse IP geolocation lookups, returning data such as ISO3166 country code, region or state, city, latitude and longitude, ZIP/postal code, time zone, ISP or company name, domain name, net speed, area code, weather station code and name, mobile country code (MCC), mobile network code (MNC), carrier brand, elevation, usage type, address type, and IAB content category. Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are supported, and lookups are served over HTTP or HTTPS GET requests in JSON or XML format, drawing on an index of over 4 billion unique IP addresses.

The API offers 25 package tiers (WS1 through WS25) that vary in the granularity of data returned, plus optional add-ons for continent, country, region, city, geotargeting, country groupings, and time zone information, with translations available in 22 languages. Each purchased unit grants 100,000 query credits valid for one year, and one API key is issued per user account regardless of the number of units purchased.
