About GeoJS

GeoJS is a REST API for IP geolocation lookups, returning data in JSON, JSONP, and plain text formats. It offers separate endpoints for IP address, country, full geographic details, and PTR (pointer record) information. The API supports both IPv4 and IPv6, is served over HTTPS only, and includes cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) support.

The service is built for high availability, using geo-routed infrastructure across DigitalOcean and Cloudflare, with GeoIP data sourced from MaxMind's GeoLite database. It does not currently enforce rate limits.

GeoJS is aimed at developers who need to integrate IP-based geolocation into applications or websites, and includes a ChatOps integration for looking up IPs directly from chat clients.
