About Gcore DNS

Gcore DNS is an authoritative DNS service handling domain delegation, with records managed through the Gcore Customer Portal, REST API, or Terraform, and queries served over Gcore's global Anycast DNS network. It supports dynamic responses that route traffic based on geolocation, ASN, subnet, or weight (including EDNS Client Subnet), healthchecks that remove failing IPs from responses, and DNSSEC for protection against cache poisoning and spoofing. Additional features include CDN integration for direct A/AAAA resolution to CDN addresses, CNAME flattening at the zone apex, HTTPS record support, and IPv6 via AAAA records.

Records can be managed in non-advanced mode (single-value entries, no traffic routing) or advanced mode (RRsets with multiple values, enabling dynamic response, healthchecks, and geo-routing rules). The service integrates with OctoDNS, Certbot, and Terraform for GitOps-style zone management, certificate automation, and infrastructure-as-code workflows.

The service is offered on Free, Pro, and Enterprise plans, which differ in minimum TTL, number and size of dynamic RRsets per zone, number of healthcheck records, and healthcheck frequency; a 14-day free trial is available.
