About CheetahO
CheetahO is an image optimization API that compresses JPEG, PNG, and GIF images. Images can be submitted either by providing a URL or by direct upload, supporting both live production use and on-the-fly processing of user uploads during development.
The API is accessed over HTTPS using POST/GET requests with a JSON body that includes an API key for authentication. Responses return optimization results in JSON, including original and optimized file sizes, bytes and percentage saved, image dimensions, and a download URL for the optimized file. Optimized images are hosted on CheetahO's servers only until a specified expiration time (valid_till), after which they must have already been downloaded and replaced in the user's own website or application.
