Bank Negara Malaysia OpenAPI Portal provides APIs for extracting datasets published on the Bank Negara Malaysia website, allowing developers to integrate the central bank's data into their own applications and systems. The site originated from an Open API Implementation Group established at industry level in the first quarter of 2018, with participation from financial technology companies alongside representatives from the banking and insurance industries.
