Todoist Developers is the developer platform for Todoist, a task management application. It provides a unified, mostly RESTful API (described by an OpenAPI specification) covering tasks, projects, sections, and comments, along with official Python and TypeScript SDKs published to PyPI and npm.

The platform includes a hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for connecting AI agents and assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and VS Code to Todoist via OAuth, and an official command-line tool (td) for quick task capture and terminal workflows, which also supports installing skills for coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, and Gemini. Additional building blocks include webhooks for real-time change notifications and a Sync endpoint for batched reads and writes.

This platform is intended for developers building integrations or applications on top of Todoist, as well as for connecting AI agents and coding assistants to a user's Todoist account. Authentication uses personal API tokens for individual use or OAuth for applications built for other users.
