The Muse's API v2 provides access to job and company listings from The Muse, a career advice and job platform. It returns JSON responses and is publicly available for use by other companies and developers.

The API includes a jobs endpoint that returns listings sorted by factors such as trendiness, uniqueness, and newness, with support for pagination and filtering by company. Paginated endpoints return results in pages of up to 20 items along with page count information. Standard HTTP status codes (200, 400, 403, 404) are used, and error responses include a code and message.

Unregistered use is limited to 500 requests per hour; registering an app and passing an API key raises the limit to 3600 requests per hour. Rate limit status is communicated via response headers indicating remaining requests, total limit, and time until reset. Registration is required for any use beyond testing.
