Templated is an API for generating images, videos, and PDFs from dynamic templates. Users design a template through a drag-and-drop editor, by generating one with AI, by picking from a template gallery, or by importing from Canva, then modify its layers (text, colors, images, videos) via a REST API POST request to render output in JPEG, PNG, WebP, MP4, or PDF format. Client libraries are available for Python, Node, Java, PHP, Ruby, and other languages, and the API can also be used through no-code platforms including Zapier, Make, and n8n.

The product also offers a white-label embeddable editor that can be added to another site or app with a single line of code, letting end users design and customize their own templates within that platform. The embedded editor supports branding customization (colors, logo, interface), permission controls over what users can save, download, or modify, webhooks for events like saves and downloads, and API-based management of templates and permissions.

Templated is aimed at teams automating marketing image, video, and document generation at scale, such as for marketing campaigns, social media, or e-commerce, including generating large numbers of personalized asset variations from a single template.
