Storm Glass provides a weather API delivering high-resolution forecasts and historical weather data sourced from multiple meteorological institutions and AI weather models. Available parameters include air temperature, air pressure, wind gust, precipitation, humidity, dew point, visibility, snow, and soil moisture/temperature, alongside marine-specific data such as wave, current, swell, secondary swell, wind wave, water temperature, ice, sea depth, chlorophyll, salinity, pH, oxygen, and phytoplankton, as well as tide extremes, sea level, solar radiation, UV, and cloud cover. An AI feature ("stormglass.io AI") automatically selects the best weather data source based on performance and can be accessed using the source parameter "sg" in API queries.

The service is used in marine weather routing, autonomous ship navigation, wind and solar power monitoring, agtech, and consumer weather applications, with customers cited in weather routing, vessel operations, ship data platforms, and green energy production monitoring.

Pricing includes a free tier (10 requests/day, all weather parameters, no support, not for commercial use), a Small plan at €19/month (500 requests/day), a Medium plan at €49/month (5,000 requests/day, full support, commercial use permitted), and a Large plan at €129/month (25,000 requests/day, full support, commercial use permitted), with a 10% discount for annual billing on paid plans.
