About Solematica

Solematica provides a REST API and an MCP server for generating solar energy estimates for addresses in Italy. The API accepts an address along with details such as annual energy consumption, roof surface area, orientation, and household size, and returns an estimated system size, panel count, projected annual production, self-consumption percentage, savings, return-on-investment period, and CO2 reduction. A separate endpoint returns satellite-derived roof data (surface area, orientation, panel capacity) given latitude and longitude coordinates.

Access is offered through two paths: a free, lead-based option where developers submit a user's contact information and receive a full estimate in exchange for passing the lead to partner installers, or a paid option using prepaid credits and an API key that does not require submitting user contact data. The service also exposes a public, unauthenticated endpoint listing and comparing offers from Italian solar installation providers, including pricing, component brands, warranty terms, financing options, and a transparency rating; use of this endpoint requires visible attribution linking back to Solematica. Additional endpoints cover lead creation, tracking the status of a submitted lead, and retrieving blog articles.

The MCP server package (@solematica/mcp-server) is published on npm and can be run via npx, allowing AI assistants such as Claude to call Solematica's tools directly; an API key is optional and only required for the solar estimate tool, while five other tools work without authentication. The product is aimed at developers building applications, AI agents, or partner integrations that need solar estimate data or Italian solar market comparison data for the Italian market.
