About Serialif Color

Serialif Color is a REST API that accepts a color in Keyword, HEX, RGB/RGBA, or HSL/HSLA format and returns data about it. Colors can be submitted as path segments or query parameters, with the format inferred from the input.

For a requested color, the API returns the base color, its complementary color, and a grayscale version, each provided with and without alpha channel, in HEX, RGB, and HSL representations. It also calculates a contrasting text color (black or white) for each of these three colors based on brightness. Responses are returned in JSON, and the API returns a structured error object when an invalid color format is submitted.
