About PunkAPI

PunkAPI is a REST API providing programmatic access to BrewDog's DIY Dog beer catalog, covering all 415 beers from the DIY Dog v8 catalogue. It returns data for each beer including name, tagline, description, brewing recipe (malt, hops, yeast, mash and fermentation details), ABV, IBU, EBC, food pairings, brewer's tips, and an associated image.

The API is built with FastAPI and exposes endpoints to list beers with pagination, retrieve a single beer by numeric id, fetch a random beer, and retrieve beer images by filename. The beer list endpoint supports filtering by name, id list, brewing date range, ABV, IBU, EBC, and food pairing, plus configurable page size.

It is intended for developers building applications that need structured beer data, and was created as a replacement for the original PunkAPI, which was discontinued in 2024.
