About PlayerDB

PlayerDB is a JSON API for looking up player accounts across multiple gaming platforms, including Minecraft, Hytale, Steam, and Xbox. Lookups return a consistent schema containing username, ID, avatar URL, and platform-specific metadata. The service fetches and caches player data behind these lookup routes.

The API is rate-limited, though normal usage is not expected to approach the limits; exceeding them returns a 429 status with a Retry-After header. Users are asked to include an identifying user-agent header on requests, and those with higher-volume use cases can contact the operator directly to discuss increased limits.

The service is operated by Nodecraft, Inc. and is not affiliated with Mojang AB, Valve, or Microsoft/Xbox, despite indexing data from their platforms.
