About Pixela

Pixela is an API service for recording and tracking daily activities, effort, or habits by posting numeric values to user-defined graphs. Each graph renders as a GitHub-style contribution graph with color gradations reflecting recorded quantities over time, and supports both positive and negative values.

The service operates entirely through a RESTish API: users create an account, define one or more graphs with a unit and type, then post daily values via HTTP requests. Graphs can be viewed directly in a browser in graph or badge format, or as detail pages with an .html suffix for additional information. Pixela also supports incoming webhooks.

It is used for purposes such as tracking application deployment counts, logging books read, or recording daily weight changes, and has been integrated with tools including GitHub Actions, Travis CI, Google Apps Script, AWS Lambda, IFTTT, Google Home, and SORACOM LTE-M Button. An official CLI tool and a third-party iOS/iPadOS app are also available. Most features are free, with some additional features available to Patreon supporters.
