About markerapi

Marker is a REST API that searches the USPTO trademark database and returns JSON-encoded results. It supports searching by serial number, trademark name (exact or wildcard match), owner, goods/services description, and upcoming expiration date, and can filter results by status (pending, active, or expired). Returned data includes serial number, trademark/wordmark, goods and services code, description, status, owner and address, filing date, and registration date, with paginated results at 100 per page.

The API is intended for developers integrating trademark data into applications, such as checking trademark availability or researching existing marks. It offers a v2 endpoint set (Serial Number, Trademark, Description, Owner, and Expiration Search) as well as a legacy v1 endpoint that returns only live/registered trademarks. An additional trademark monitoring feature lets users track up to 10 search terms and receive notifications when new matching trademarks are registered.

Pricing is tiered by monthly search volume: 1,000 searches free, 10,000 searches for $25 USD, 250,000 searches for $50 USD, and 10 million searches for $100 USD.
