Linkly provides a REST API for creating and managing branded short links, with support for custom domains, click tracking, geographic and device analytics, and real-time webhooks for click events. The API supports bulk link creation, link updates and deletion, and an analytics endpoint for pulling click counts, referrer, and device data in JSON. Redirects are served from Cloudflare's edge network across 300+ data centers, with a stated 99.9% uptime SLA and sub-5ms redirect latency.

The product targets developers integrating link shortening into applications for use cases such as SMS and WhatsApp campaigns, transactional messages (magic links, password resets, order confirmations), and in-app sharing features. It also offers no-code automation integrations (Zapier, Make, n8n) and AI agent integrations (Claude MCP, ChatGPT, command line).

Linkly offers a free plan with 500 link clicks per month, one custom domain, and access to the link, analytics, and webhook APIs (the Analytics API is capped at 100 requests per month on this plan). Paid plans are flat-rate based on click tier, with unmetered link-creation calls and webhooks, bulk link creation, priority support, and an unlimited-clicks tier that adds SSO, audit logs, a custom DPA, and dedicated Slack support. Authentication uses an API key passed as a query parameter, and link-creation endpoints are rate-limited to 100 requests per second per workspace.
