About Launch Library 2

Launch Library 2 is an API providing a database of rocket launches, space events, and crewed spaceflight information, maintained as the official successor to the original Launch Library API and incorporating the data previously offered by the Space Launch Now API. It covers orbital launches and select suborbital launches that reach the Karman line or are live streamed, along with related space events such as spacecraft landings, engine tests, and spacewalks.

The API exposes multiple endpoints covering launches, events, agencies (launch service providers, space agencies, rocket manufacturers), astronauts, space stations, expeditions, docking events, launch vehicle configurations, reusable first stages, spacecraft configurations, and launch locations and pads. Each endpoint supports filtering by parameters such as name, country code, status, or associated agency, and launches and events endpoints also provide ICS feed access.

The full database is accessible free of charge, with a rate limit of 15 requests per hour; higher access rates are available through the provider's Patreon. It is suited for developers building applications or tools related to spaceflight tracking, launch schedules, and space mission data.
