About Job Application API

The Job Application API is a web service that submits job applications programmatically. A developer sends a POST request containing a job posting URL and a structured candidate profile (contact details, work history, resume, and answers to common screening questions); the service identifies the employer's applicant tracking system, fills out the form fields, uploads the resume, answers screening questions from the supplied candidate data, and submits the application. Results are returned via webhook as submitted, needs_input, or failed, accompanied by a screenshot receipt of the confirmation page. Questions that cannot be answered truthfully from the candidate profile pause the application for input rather than being guessed.

The service covers 40+ applicant tracking systems, including Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Rippling, iCIMS, Taleo, SuccessFactors, SmartRecruiters, and Workable, through a single schema. It enforces per-employer rate limits and requires candidate consent on each application. Three product variants are offered: an Apply API for submitting to a known job URL and candidate object, a Search + Apply option that bundles job discovery with submission, and a Managed Applies option where applications are run on the customer's behalf from a submitted spreadsheet without requiring integration.

The product is built for developers and founders building job-search tools, such as auto-apply products, career copilots, staffing platforms, and university career services, who need the application-submission infrastructure without building and maintaining ATS-specific form-filling logic themselves.
