About Generate iCAL

Generate iCal is an API that creates calendar invite files from event data submitted as JSON. It accepts fields such as summary, meeting date, start and end time, location, description, time zone, organizer email, attendee emails, reminders, and recurrence settings, and returns either a downloadable .ics file or a pre-signed cloud link to the generated file.

The API supports all-day events, recurring events with configurable frequency, interval, and count, reminder rules with display or email actions, and time zone-aware scheduling. Sending a cancel event_type on the download endpoint produces a VCALENDAR file with METHOD:CANCEL for cancellation flows.

It is intended for applications that need to hand off calendar invites programmatically, such as after booking meetings, scheduling demos, or creating team reminders, without implementing iCal serialization directly. The service has two POST endpoints: one returns the .ics file as a binary download, the other returns a JSON response containing a signed URL to the hosted file.
