About Gateio

Gate.io provides a REST and WebSocket API for spot, margin, and futures cryptocurrency trading. It exposes endpoints for trading pairs, market info, coin info (deposit/withdraw/trade status), market details, tickers, order book depth, K-line data, P2P depth, trade execution, and sub-account management. Two API versions are available: 4.0, covering spot, margin, and futures, and 2.0, limited to spot trading.

Authentication uses API v4 keys, generated separately from v2 keys and managed through the API v4 Keys interface. Client libraries and demo code are provided for Python, Java, PHP, JavaScript, Go, Node.js, C#, and Perl.

The API is intended for developers building trading bots, market data tools, or applications that integrate cryptocurrency trading and account management with the Gate.io exchange.
