About Football Standings

Football Standings API is a REST API that provides football (soccer) league and standings data sourced from ESPN. It exposes endpoints for listing available leagues, retrieving details for a specific league, checking available seasons for a league, and fetching standings data filtered by season with sort order options.

The API covers major leagues such as the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, and the Argentine Liga Profesional de Fútbol, among others, returning data such as league names, slugs, abbreviations, and logos alongside season standings tables.

It is built with Node.js and Express, making it suited for developers who want to integrate football standings data into applications without building their own scraping or data-aggregation layer against ESPN.
