About Football Highlights

The Highlightly Football API is a REST API providing football (soccer) data including live scores, video highlights, match statistics, player profiles and statistics, lineups, predictions, and live events. It covers over 950 leagues across more than 170 countries, including the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, and Champions League. Endpoints span countries, leagues, teams, matches, highlights, bookmakers, odds, standings, head-to-head records, lineups, match statistics, live events, players, and box scores.

The API is accessed via API keys and requires the `x-rapidapi-key` header on requests; responses are JSON only. It is available directly through Highlightly or through RapidAPI, with a different base URL for each; the two platforms have separate, unsynced accounts, and RapidAPI does not offer custom plans or long-term discounts. Rate limits are communicated through response headers indicating the request limit and remaining requests for the subscribed plan.

This API is intended for developers building applications that need structured football data and video highlights, such as sports apps, betting-adjacent tools using odds and bookmaker data, or statistics dashboards.
