Faker is a JavaScript library that generates large volumes of fake but realistic data for testing and development purposes. It covers categories such as person data (names, genders, bios, job titles), locations (addresses, zip codes, street names, states, countries), dates, finance data (account details, transactions, crypto addresses), and commerce data (prices, product names, adjectives, descriptions).

The library supports localization with over 70 locales, allowing generated names, addresses, and phone numbers to reflect different regional formats. It is released under the MIT license and can be used for both commercial and non-commercial projects. Development is maintained by an international team of volunteer maintainers, with support accepted through Open Collective.
