Open-source API for exploring Covid19 cases based on JHU CSSE.
This API provides COVID-19 case data sourced from the Johns Hopkins University Center for Systems Science and Engineering (JHU CSSE). It returns confirmed, death, and recovered case counts, covering current daily-updated figures as well as timeseries data, broken down globally, by affected country, and for individual countries.
The API is built on the FastAPI framework and can be deployed via Docker Compose or a prebuilt Docker Hub image, or run directly with uvicorn. It is intended for developers building applications on top of COVID-19 case data, such as visualization tools, maps, and information apps.
It uses data provided by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Systems Science and Engineering (JHU CSSE).
