Get various patterns, palettes and images.
ColourLovers provides a REST API for accessing color, palette, and pattern data from the COLOURlovers.com community platform. It supports both XML and JSON response formats and returns results for colors, palettes, and patterns individually or in bulk (new, top, or random listings), each with associated metadata such as titles, creator usernames, view/vote/comment counts, and creation dates.
The API supports filtering and search through parameters including keywords, hue and brightness ranges (for colors), hex value matching with AND/OR logic (for palettes), and result ordering by fields like date created, score, name, number of votes, or number of views. Results can be paginated using numResults and resultOffset parameters, with a maximum of 100 results per request.
Access is governed by a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike license, requiring attribution to COLOURlovers.com for any website or software using the API's data. Use outside these license terms requires contacting COLOURlovers.com directly for permission.
