About Universalis

Universalis is a REST API providing market board data for the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV. It exposes endpoints for current and aggregated item prices, sale history, marketable items, market tax rates, and supported data centers and worlds, with data queryable by world, data center, or region.

The API supports batch queries of up to 100 item IDs at once and returns listings, sale history, materia data, and price statistics such as average sale price and daily sale velocity calculated over recent sales. Additional endpoints expose upload statistics, including least- and most-recently updated items, recently updated items, and upload counts by world or application. Item ID and world ID name mappings are not provided directly by Universalis and must be sourced from XIVAPI or other referenced datasets.

The API is intended for developers building tools or applications around FFXIV market data. Usage is rate-limited to 25 requests/second (50 burst) on the API and 15 requests/second (30 burst) for site scraping, with a cap of 8 simultaneous connections per IP. The service accepts support through Liberapay, Ko-fi, or Patreon.
