About Squiggle

Squiggle API provides public access to Australian Football League (AFL) data, including fixtures, ladder standings, and match scores, alongside predictions generated by computer models. The API is offered in JSON, XML, and CSV formats, allowing data to be imported into spreadsheet tools such as Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and LibreOffice Calc.

The service exposes query types covering teams, games, prediction sources, tips, standings, projected ladders, power rankings, and player approximate value (PAV) data supplied by HPN Footy. A separate Event API is available for tracking live match events such as score changes as they happen. Each query type accepts additional parameters (such as year, round, team, or source) to filter results to a specific subset of data.

The API covers only basic, publicly available information such as who is playing whom, when, and the resulting scores; it does not provide advanced statistics like Inside 50s or Expected Score, which are generated by a private company. It is suited to developers or analysts who want reliable, up-to-date AFL data and predictions for import into spreadsheets or custom analysis tools.
