About NovaDax

NovaDAX provides a REST and WebSocket API for its cryptocurrency exchange, giving programmatic access to market data, trading, order history, and account management. Endpoints are split into public data (trading symbols, tickers, market depth, recent trades, kline data, system time) and private, authenticated operations covering order placement (including bulk orders), order cancellation, order history and match details, account and sub-account balances, sub-account transfers, and wallet functions such as deposit/withdrawal records, sending cryptocurrency, and chain network search.

Private endpoints require an API AccessKey and SecretKey generated from a NovaDAX account, with requests signed using HMAC-SHA256 and timestamped in UTC. Requests are rate-limited by a weight system, with a total of 6000 weight available per minute; public endpoint limits are tracked by IP address and private endpoint limits by UID. Responses are returned in JSON with a standard wrapper containing a code, data, and message field.

The API is intended for developers building trading applications, bots, or account management tools that interact with the NovaDAX exchange, including support for operations performed on behalf of sub-accounts via a dedicated request header.
