About Noctua

Noctua is a REST API for the NoctuaSky platform, providing programmatic access to astronomical observation data. It exposes endpoints for managing observing locations (create, read, update, delete) and sky observations tied to a user account, as well as querying a database of sky sources by name or through search, including statistics about the sky source data.

The API also includes user account management: registration, login (returning a JWT for authenticated requests), password change and reset with email confirmation, and account retrieval or updates, including a shortcut to fetch the current authenticated user.

It is intended for developers building applications or tools that need to store and retrieve astronomical observation records, manage observer location data, or look up sky source information programmatically.
