About MessengerX.io

MessengerX.io is a developer marketplace and platform for building and monetizing chatbots, referred to on the platform as chat apps. It provides a webhook-based architecture: incoming messages from end users are routed from partner or publisher apps to a developer's registered webhook URL, and responses are sent back through a Send Message API, referred to collectively as the Platform APIs.

Incoming message payloads are delivered as JSON, encrypted using the HS512 algorithm with the developer's API token as the key, and can be decrypted using open source JWT libraries. Payloads include message data, user information, a sender device ID, partner app client ID, and SDK version. The messaging API supports sending text messages, quick replies, buttons, and media elements (single items or lists) with associated buttons and quick replies. The platform also supports tagging and un-tagging users and retrieving a user's active tags for personalization purposes, as well as subscription-based announcement messaging.

The platform is aimed at developers building conversational chat applications for consumer-facing use cases, such as the example Daily Horoscope Assistant shown on the page. Developers sign up through a dev portal to obtain a free API token and register a new app before setting up a chatbot server. The MessengerX Platform is stated to be free for developers building consumer-based chatbots.
