About ImprovMX

ImprovMX provides an HTTP REST API for programmatically managing domains and aliases used for email forwarding. The API is versioned (v3, base URL https://api.improvmx.com/v3), uses HTTP basic authentication with an API key as the password, and returns JSON responses with standard error codes and rate-limit headers.

The API supports operations such as retrieving account details and plan limits, listing whitelabel domains, and adding, listing, and retrieving domains along with their associated email aliases. Domain listing supports filtering by substring, active status, and pagination. Rate limits differ by account tier: free accounts are limited to 30 requests per minute per endpoint, while paid plans allow 200.

This is intended for developers who need to integrate email forwarding and domain/alias management into their own applications or workflows, rather than managing these settings through the ImprovMX dashboard alone.
