Music Samples.
The Freesound API allows developers to browse, search, and retrieve information about sounds, users, and packs on Freesound. It supports finding similar sounds to a given target based on content analysis, and retrieving automatically extracted audio features. Advanced queries can combine content analysis features with metadata such as tags.
Beyond retrieval, the API supports uploading, commenting on, rating, and bookmarking sounds. Authentication is available via token or OAuth2. The documentation covers the current APIv2, as the earlier APIv1 has reached end of life and is no longer available.
Client libraries are provided for working with the API, and audio descriptor documentation details the analysis settings and the main and advanced sets of descriptors available.
It supports token authentication and OAuth2 authentication.
You should use Freesound APIv2, since the previous APIv1 has reached end of life and is no longer available.
Yes, Freesound provides API client libraries for APIv2, listed on the documentation's Client Libraries page.
You can query search resources, sound resources, user resources, pack resources, and other resources.
You can post questions to the Freesound API mailing list on Google Groups.
