About CoinDCX

CoinDCX provides a REST and WebSocket API for accessing its cryptocurrency exchange, covering spot trading and futures/margin trading. The spot API includes public endpoints for tickers, markets, order books, trades, and candlestick data, as well as authenticated endpoints for account balances, user info, order placement and management (including multiple/margin orders), sub-account wallet transfers, and trade history. WebSocket sockets are available for real-time updates on balances, orders, trades, order book depth, prices, and candlestick data.

The futures API covers instrument data, orderbooks, candlesticks, order and position management (including leverage, margin, take-profit/stop-loss orders), position exits, cross margin details, wallet transfers, and currency conversion, with corresponding WebSocket channels for account and market updates. The documentation includes code samples in Python and JavaScript for socket connections.

Use of the API is governed by license terms requiring users to register for a developer key; the terms prohibit reverse engineering, redistribution of market data to third parties, and note that CoinDCX currently does not charge fees for API access, while reserving the right to do so in the future. The documentation also covers rate limits, pagination parameters, error handling, and high-frequency trading considerations.
