CheckThatPhone provides a phone validation API for US and Canada (NANP) numbers, returning line type, deactivation status, and a deliverability recommendation in a single call. The core response bundles a real-time carrier DIP against the carrier's mobile network switch (HLR), including current carrier, line type, OCN, LRN, and porting status, alongside GeoIP location data (state, city, metro, timezone). Optional add-ons cover a TCPA litigator scrub built from federal and state court records and demand-letter activity, landline-SMS reachability checks, and a state do-not-call and complainer scrub covering 40 states and roughly 700,000 documented DNC/TCPA complainers; the federal DNC registry is not included.

Numbers can be checked individually through a live API endpoint or in bulk via CSV upload (up to 1M rows per file), with deduplication before billing. Phone numbers are not stored, cached, or logged; only usage metadata is retained. Failed lookups are not billed. The product targets outbound-facing teams such as lead generation, fintech and crypto, healthcare, insurance, real estate, and B2B sales.

A free tier offers 500 lookups per month, hard-capped with no overage billing; a paid plan brings per-call pricing as low as $0.001 at volume. Account signup requires a card for verification, though it is not charged unless the account upgrades to a paid plan.
