About Careerjet

Careerjet provides a job search API that returns job listings in JSON format via an HTTP GET endpoint at https://search.api.careerjet.net/v4/query. Requests are authenticated using Basic authentication, where the API key serves as the username and the password is left empty. Each publisher website is issued a unique API key obtained through a Publisher account.

The API accepts parameters for locale code, search keywords, location, contract type (permanent, contract, temporary, internship, or volunteering), work hours (full-time or part-time), sort order (relevance, date, or salary), pagination (offset, page, page size), search radius, and job excerpt fragment size. The user_ip and user_agent parameters are required and must reflect the end user triggering the request. Responses include job hit counts, page counts, and response time, along with a list of jobs containing title, company, date, description excerpt, location, salary details (amount, currency, min/max, and pay period), and a URL to the listing. The API also returns a location-matching mode when a supplied location is ambiguous or unmatched, providing a list of candidate locations to choose from.

This API is intended for publishers and developers building job search functionality into websites or applications, allowing them to query and display job listings sourced from Careerjet.
