The VAT Validation and Rates API provides VAT number validation and VAT price calculation for domestic and cross-border sales. It validates VAT numbers via a single API call and returns associated company data such as company name, address, and country. It also calculates VAT owed on a purchase based on country and amount, and provides standard and reduced VAT rates for countries across the European Union and beyond, sourced in part from the EU Commission.

It is aimed at developers who need to integrate VAT compliance into billing, e-commerce, or invoicing systems. Requests and responses are secured with 256-bit SSL encryption. A free plan offers 100 requests at a rate of 1 request per second, with no credit card required to obtain an API key.
