About EmailRep

EmailRep is a system of crawlers, scanners, and enrichment services that collect data on email addresses, domains, and internet personas to predict the risk associated with an email address. It draws on data points from social media profiles, professional networking sites, dark web credential leaks, data breaches, phishing kits, phishing emails, spam lists, open mail relays, domain age and reputation, and deliverability signals.

The API supports querying and reporting email addresses, and is documented alongside a broader Sublime Platform API covering message analysis, rules, hunt jobs, and related security operations tooling. An API key is not required, but authenticated requests receive higher rate limits than unauthenticated ones; a free API key can be requested, and rate limits are enforced on a rolling 24-hour window. Every request must include a user agent header identifying the consuming application, or the request will be blocked.

This service is suited for developers building fraud prevention, account security, or email risk-scoring functionality into their applications.
